Curriculum Vitae (CV) Design

  • Remember ~ you only have ONE chance to make the right impression
     
  • Start your CV with a personal profile of yourself
     
  • Begin with your most recent job followed by your previous positions, why you left and give examples of your achievements
  • Keep it short and factual
  • Create a good visual layout. It should be easy to read
  • Use good quality paper
  • Always check your spelling. If you use a computer do not rely only upon the spell checker. Ask a friend to read it thoroughly
  • Be honest 
  • Make sure that you have included all the relevant skills, knowledge and experience that you can offer to the job applied for
